Established in 2022 by highly experienced drummer and educator Jasper De Roos, Whangārei Drum Lessons provides professional drum tuition for students of all ages and skill levels throughout the Whangārei region.
Whether you're picking up the sticks for the first time or looking to develop advanced techniques, lessons are tailored to help you achieve your musical goals in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment.

About Jasper De Roos
Jasper has been playing drums for more than 30 years and brings a wealth of teaching and performance experience to every lesson. Throughout his career, he has taught at numerous schools across Auckland and Northland, including Hobsonville School, Hobsonville Point Secondary School, Royal Oak Intermediate, Dilworth Junior and Senior Campus, Balmoral School, Kadimah College, Ellerslie School, Dargaville High School, and Kamo High School.
In addition to his work in schools, Jasper has taught at respected music education providers including Drum City, Lewis Eady Music School, and Eliette's Music Academy.

Performance Experience
Alongside his teaching career, Jasper has enjoyed a diverse and rewarding career as a professional musician spanning more than 20 years. He has toured and performed extensively throughout New Zealand and internationally, appearing in Japan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Poland, the United States, Iran, Singapore, Romania, Turkey, Australia, Thailand, and Malaysia.
